Two-bay Oak Carport
We were commissioned to design and build a 7000mm x 6000mm oak-frame carport in Didcot. One side was tailored for a home gym, while the other featured a car lift with space for two vehicles.
Three-bay Oak Barn
A 3-bay oak-framed garage stands as both functional and aesthetic, with an upper level tailored for Airbnb rental. This layout provides space for cars below while the upstairs offers a cozy, rentable retreat.

What do I need for an Oak-frame building?
Unless it's a smaller garden structure, you will need the following to proceed, just like any other brick & mortar build: Planning permission, building control, foundations, roof tiles.
How much does an oak-frame building cost?

What is your lead-time?
8-10 Weeks.
Is oak-framing less expensive than brick & mortar?
It depends on what specification that you choose. However, most of the time, Oak framing will be less expensive than a traditional brick & mortar build
Will I need planning permission?
99 percent of the time, yes. Not to worry, we can help you with this. Please feel free to enquire to one of our team members.
How long do the buildings take to install?
3-5 days for most projects. This may vary depending on the size and complexity. We spend most of the weeks preparing the frame in the factory, prior to installation.
Can I install the frame myself as a kit?
Absolutely. However, we always recommend hiring a carpenter if you have never installed one before, and there is still some cutting to do. We can also assist with installation if need be.
How long do Oak-frame buildings last?
Traditional green oak framing is a centuries-old building method. Whilst there is no definitive lifetime for an oak frame building, the frame could well last in excess of 200 years if maintained properly.
